Glorious Ghana Tour 2013
For a number of years now many of you have been saying, "I'd love to come with you on one of your research trips to Africa."
Well now you can!
We've teamed up with our friend Fiona Wright of Creative Arts Safaris to put together a two week tour of Ghana's arts and crafts highlights.
The main focus will be textiles, of course - batik, Indigo dyeing, Adinkra stamping and Kente weaving.
We'll also delve into Ghana's rich bead culture, learning to make our own beads using recycled bottle glass and brass.
Along the way, we'll visit some quite remote villages where many of our suppliers live and work, keeping their artistic traditions alive.

Glorious Ghana Tour 2012
2 Feb 2012 - We are just back from Ghana and our inaugural Glorious Ghana Tour. Aside from the occasional hiccup - this is Africa, afterall - it was a great success.
The walking tours, demonstrations and hands-on textile and bead-making workshops were all brilliant.
But for most of our fellow travellers, the highlight was shopping for fabrics, beads, Kente cloth and hand-woven baskets - direct from the makers in their villages.
